# Manage labels

> Work with drafts, published labels, and updates to labels already in market.

**My labels** lists every label in your account. Drafts are private working copies; published labels are live and reachable through their QR code.

## Label statuses

| Status    | Meaning                                              | Typical use                      |
| --------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Draft | Private work in progress — not visible to the public | Data entry and internal review |
| Published | Live at its permanent URL and reachable via QR code | Wines in production or in market |
| Archived | Kept for your records, no longer promoted | Retired wines and past vintages |

## Before you publish

Run through this checklist on every draft:

* Wine identity and producer details are correct
* Ingredients and allergens match the actual product
* Nutrition values and units are right (per 100 ml)
* The languages your target markets require are covered
* The digital page and the physical bottle label agree with each other
* The QR code scans and opens the page on a real phone

## Updating a published label

You can edit a published label at any time — changes go live immediately at the same URL, with no reprinting needed. That's the point of a digital label, but use it responsibly:

* Correct factual errors promptly
* Never change which wine a QR code points to — bottles in market carry that code
* Keep a record of material changes once bottles are in circulation
* For a new vintage, create a new label rather than overwriting the old one

<Warning>
  The QR code on a printed bottle is permanent. Treat each published label as belonging to exactly one wine and vintage for the life of those bottles.
</Warning>

## Deleting labels

Unpublished drafts can be deleted freely. Be careful with published labels: if bottles carrying the QR code are already in market, the page must stay online — that's what the code on the bottle promises.

## The free plan cap

The Free plan includes **5 labels, forever**. When you reach the cap:

* All your existing labels keep working — nothing is taken away
* Published labels stay online and their QR codes keep resolving
* To create more labels, upgrade to [Unlimited](/en/guides/plans-and-billing) (€149/year flat, no per-label fees)

Published labels stay online even if you later cancel a paid plan. See [Plans and billing](/en/guides/plans-and-billing).
