Since December 8, 2023, EU wine rules allow producers to provide ingredient lists and nutrition details digitally through QR codes or similar electronic means. This can reduce physical label space, but it does not move every obligation off the package.
This page is implementation guidance for using Vinum E-Label. It is not legal advice. Validate final labels with your compliance advisor or market-specific legal review.

Core information to verify

Typical EU wine label review should cover:
  • Clear wine designation.
  • Alcohol content as actual alcoholic strength by volume.
  • Nominal volume.
  • Country of origin or protected designation.
  • Producer or bottler name and address.
  • Allergen information.
  • Lot identification.
  • Energy and nutrition information.
  • Ingredients.

Physical package and digital page

Use the digital e-label page for factual ingredient and nutrition disclosure. Keep required on-pack details on the physical package where applicable.
