1
Open the generator
Go to vinum-elabel.com. The form on the homepage is the real generator — no signup, no trial gate.
2
Enter your wine's details
Add the essentials: wine name, vintage, wine type, producer name and address, country and region, alcohol content, and net volume. The live preview shows exactly what a customer will see after scanning.
3
Add ingredients, allergens, and nutrition
List the ingredients and mark allergens (sulphites in particular). For nutrition, use the built-in calculator: enter your wine’s alcohol and residual sugar and it estimates the energy and nutrition values per 100 ml. You can always adjust the values manually if you have lab figures.
4
Save your label
When you’re ready to keep your work, enter your email address. We send you a magic link — click it and your label is saved to your new account. No password needed. If you already have an account, just sign in and the label is saved to it.
5
Publish
Review the summary, fix anything the checklist flags as missing, and publish. Your e-label is now live at its permanent address and ready to be reached by a QR code.
6
Download the QR code
Download the QR code as a print-ready SVG file and hand it to your label designer or printer. Test-scan it with a phone before it goes to print — see the QR code guide for print recommendations.
What you’ll need at hand
For a typical EU wine e-label, have this information ready:- Wine name and vintage year
- Producer or bottler name and address
- Alcohol content (% vol.)
- Net volume
- Origin, appellation, PDO, or PGI details where applicable
- Ingredient list
- Allergen information, especially sulphites
- Nutrition values per 100 ml (or alcohol + residual sugar for the calculator)
Some mandatory particulars must stay on the physical bottle label — energy value, allergen indication, and lot code among them, depending on the market. The QR code page complements the bottle; it doesn’t replace it. See EU wine labeling.
Optional details
You can enrich the e-label with factual extras — grape varieties, serving temperature, storage instructions, production method. Keep the mandatory e-label page neutral: awards, storytelling, and sales prompts belong on your own website, not on the compliance page. Before printing
Run through this once before the QR code goes on packaging:- The QR code opens the published label at its production URL
- The page opens on both iOS and Android cameras
- The code scans at the planned print size
- The bottle label and the digital page say the same thing
