If your wines already have e-labels with another provider, you don’t have to retype everything. Paste the public link of an existing e-label page and Vinum reads it and pre-fills the generator form. You can do this before you even have an account — the import works right from the homepage generator.

How it works

1

Find your existing e-label link

Scan the QR code on one of your bottles with your phone, or open the e-label page from your current provider’s dashboard. Copy the page URL.
2

Paste it into Vinum

On the homepage, choose the import option and paste the link. Vinum fetches the public page and extracts the label data.
3

Review the pre-filled form

The generator opens with the recognized fields already filled in. Go through each tab, correct anything that didn’t come across cleanly, and add anything that’s missing.
4

Save and publish

Save the label to your account (via magic link or sign-in) and publish it. From here on it behaves like any other Vinum label, with its own permanent QR code.

What gets imported

Vinum recognizes the common fields found on public e-label pages:
  • Wine name and producer
  • Wine type
  • Country of origin
  • Alcohol content
  • Nutrition values
  • Ingredients
  • Allergens
Import is best effort. Every provider structures its pages differently, so some fields may come through incomplete or land in the wrong place. Always review every field before publishing — you remain responsible for the accuracy of the published label.

If the import finds nothing

Some pages can’t be read automatically — the provider may block automated access, require interaction to show the data, or use a layout Vinum doesn’t recognize yet. If that happens, the form simply opens empty and you can create the label manually. With the bottle or your current label page open next to you, entry takes only a few minutes.

A note on switching

Your new Vinum QR code has a different URL than your old provider’s, so switching applies to your next print run — bottles already printed with the old code keep pointing at the old provider. Once your new labels are printed with Vinum QR codes, the switch is complete.
